SABUROMARU Far East of Peat 6th Batch

SABUROMARU Far East of Peat 6th Batch is a blended malt whisky from Wakatsuru Saburomaru in Toyama. This sixth batch combines peated malt distilled at Saburomaru in 2020 using the ZEMON cast pot still with peated Scotch malt. Bottled at 50% ABV in a 700 ml format, it was released in a limited run of 7,200 bottles. The profile is richly smoky, with dense malt, nut, cocoa, and a warm, layered finish.

Culinary affinity: Its bold peat and rounded texture complement grilled or charred foods such as aged beef, duck confit, roast lamb, smoked seafood, umami-rich stews, and dark-chocolate or caramel desserts. In a highball, carbonation and citrus can lighten the smoke while keeping the aroma expressive.
