KUROISHIDAKE is a rich Japanese sweet potato shochu made from sweet potato and black koji, with a bold and characterful profile from Kagoshima style black-kojisake-style craftsmanship. It is traditionally built to keep a deep, earthy, and full-bodied palate, and the process includes careful hand oil-removal to refine aroma and mouthfeel. This style presents a dry-to-balanced finish with pronounced sweetness depth and savory body, suited for both straight service and versatile mixed-drink use.

Culinary affinity: Its strong, rounded body works well with grilled chicken, grilled eel, char-grilled fish, robust pork dishes, aged nutty cheeses, and dishes with umami depth. It also performs strongly in highball-style service and short cocktail formats where fuller shochu character can stand up well.
