ICHIRO’S MALT DOUBLE DISTILLERIES is a Blended Malt Japanese Whisky from Venture Whisky and Chichibu Distillery in Saitama, Japan. The current expression brings together malt whiskies from Chichibu’s first and second distilleries, combining the first distillery’s mizunara washback and steam-heated pot still character with the second distillery’s French oak washbacks and direct-fired distillation style. Bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered and natural color, it shows fragrant fruit, honeyed apple, soft smoke, oak, vanilla, gentle spice, and a compact, slightly sweet finish.

Culinary affinity: Its balanced malt depth, fruit, honey, oak, and gentle smoky accent pair well with yakitori, grilled seafood, roasted chicken, pork, mushrooms, aged cheese, and lightly charred dishes. It also works well in premium highball service, especially with Japanese grilled dishes and Thai dishes with herbs, citrus, and moderate spice.
