A beautiful tannic structure. The terroir of Pommard, composed mainly of clay- limestone soils, contributes to its complexity and longevity.

Rich and tasty dishes like a grilled beef rib or a beef bourguignon will bring out its elegant tannins. Japanese cuisine: duck roast, yakitori with tare, beef tataki and mushroom sukiyaki. Thai cuisine: charcoal-grilled pork or chicken, a mild duck curry, mushroom stir-fry and a light Massaman curry.
