ICHIRO’S MALT & GRAIN CHICHIBU BLENDED WHISKY CLASSICAL EDITION is a World Blended Whisky from Venture Whisky and Chichibu Distillery in Saitama, Japan. Released on October 23, 2021, it blends malt and grain whiskies from the five major whisky-making traditions: Scotch, Irish, American, Canadian, and Japanese. Rather than presenting itself as Japanese whisky, it is positioned honestly as a world blended whisky edited and further matured in Chichibu. Bottled at 48% ABV, non-chill filtered and natural color, it shows a more classical profile with higher malt presence, fruit, soft smoke, wood, spice, and a long rounded finish.

Culinary affinity: Its higher malt structure, gentle smoke, fruit, spice, and wood depth pair well with grilled poultry, roasted pork, mushrooms, aged cheese, yakitori, roasted nuts, and desserts with caramel, apple, vanilla, or pastry notes. It is also well suited to premium highball service, especially with Japanese grilled dishes and Thai dishes with herbs, citrus, and moderate spice.
