Gin “Pure Folie” is another exclusive – and daring – creation from Distillery Combier. 

It embodies a veritable revolution in the world of French artisan gins. Distilled in limited series, in ‘Small Batches’ production in the distillery’s swan-neck stills to ensure superior quality, it stands out for its boldness and modernity.

The secret of its uniqueness? The incorporation of a liqueur, the exquisite “Liqueur Pure Folie” that we introduced in a previous post. This astonishing strawberry and spiced liqueur gives it a delicate pink colour and a profusion of red fruit flavours.

Tradition and Innovation: The Perfect Combination from Distillery Combier

It is the result of a perfect balance between the age-old tradition of classic gin and a resolutely contemporary innovation. Franck Choisne, the Distillery’s Master Distiller, has combined these two worlds in this gin. The characteristic freshness and intensity of gin are complemented by a spicy strawberry note.

The Sweetness of Pure Folie Liqueur combined with the Power of Gin

As we said in our previous post, at the heart of Pure Folie Gin is Pure Folie Liqueur, a refined tribute to an equally refined fruit, the Loire Valley strawberry. Chenin, the emblematic grape variety of the Upper Loire Valley, enriches the liqueur with incomparable vivacity, while a subtle selection of spices, mint and ginger round off the composition. This alchemy of aromas, the result of a whole year’s research and experimentation, results in a liqueur of exceptional purity and subtlety, which, once married to gin, creates an irresistible harmony of flavours.
