About the Wine
La Côte des Brumes, meaning 'the misty slope', takes its name from the fog that blankets its steep vineyard on summer mornings. It is one of the premium oak-aged cuvées of Clos Regain, a new label created within the storied Château Jolys estate in Jurançon to showcase only its finest parcels.
Hand-harvested Petit Manseng from south-facing slopes is fermented in French oak barrels and stoneware jars, then aged sur lie for eighteen months, building a rich texture balanced by lively acidity.

At the table
With its rich, oak-aged texture and lively acidity, this wine suits full-flavored dishes across Japanese, Thai and Western cuisine.
Dishes with savory depth and richness bring out the wine's balance of texture and acidity. Very spicy or sharply acidic preparations are best avoided, as the wine's alcohol level can intensify heat.
Japanese
- Chicken jibuni (simmered chicken in thick sauce)
- Grilled conger eel (anago shirayaki)
- Butter-seared scallops
Why it worksThe savory depth of simmered sauces and the richness of butter echo the wine's honeyed notes and smooth texture.
Thai
- Gai hor bai toey (pandan-wrapped chicken)
- Tod man kung (shrimp cakes)
- Mild massaman-style white fish
Why it worksHerbal and coconut-driven richness complements the wine's oak-derived texture, while very spicy dishes are best avoided as alcohol can amplify chili heat.
Western
- Guinea fowl with morel mushrooms
- Garbure (Southwest French vegetable and meat soup)
- A cheese platter
Why it worksThese are traditional pairings from the wine's home region, where rich poultry, hearty soup and aged cheese echo its structure and depth.
