SHOCHU REPUBLIC’s Authentic Shochu Wins Double Awards at TWSC 2026— Shochu & Awamori Division

According to the company announcement, two SHOCHU REPUBLIC products received awards in the Shochu & Awamori Division of the Tokyo Whisky & Spirits Competition 2026. “Sweet Potato Robbin,” produced by Uto Shuzo in Kagoshima Prefecture, received Supreme Gold; “Barley Bunny,” produced by Beniotome Shuzo in Fukuoka Prefecture, received Silver. Both products were listed at 25% ABV and 720 ml.

The announcement stated that 189 entries were submitted to the division and that 23 received Supreme Gold. It also stated that judging was conducted blind by distilled-spirits specialists in Japan.
