Sake Temperature Management by Product and Logistics Stage

Bacchus Global manages Japanese sake storage and transport conditions according to each product and logistics stage. A single temperature is not presented as applying continuously to every product from the brewery to final delivery.

Product-Specific Storage Conditions

Storage information should identify the product concerned and distinguish the producer’s handling instructions from the conditions used during transport and storage. A temperature quoted for one product, facility or shipment should not be treated as the requirement for every sake.

Separate the Logistics Stages

  1. Dispatch from the producer and handling within Japan.
  2. Storage in Japan and preparation for international transport.
  3. International transport.
  4. Arrival handling and transfer in Thailand.
  5. Warehouse storage and final delivery.
  6. Storage after delivery, following the product’s instructions.

These are separate stages to document, not a claim that identical equipment, temperatures or handling conditions apply throughout. Bacchus Global manages inventory in Thailand; the applicable product instructions and the records for each stage take priority over a blanket temperature statement.

Distinguish Setpoints from Measurements

An equipment setpoint, a logger reading at a particular position, and the temperature inside an individual bottle are different quantities. A useful temperature record identifies its period, route, cargo, measurement position and recording interval. Conditions outside the recorded period or location require separate evidence.

A temperature trace alone does not demonstrate that every bottle retained unchanged quality. Product condition and handling need to be assessed against the relevant product instructions and supporting records.

Scope of This Update

This article was revised on 3 September 2026 to clarify product and logistics-stage scope. Earlier blanket temperature and quality-guarantee wording is no longer used. Numerical operating claims will be presented only with the product, stage and supporting record identified.

For the company’s current public temperature-management description, see About Bacchus Global.
