KINRYO

Kagawa, Kinryo Brewery

Ascend the long stone staircase, and feel a sudden, subtle shift in the wind. You have arrived.
Here in Kotohira, Kagawa, the sacred forest of Kotohira-gu Shrine breathes in the luminous calm of the Seto Inland Sea. Resting in its shadow is Kinryo. For 360 years, sake here has been born alongside prayer.
Origins steeped in indigo inspire our alchemy. Just as dye deepens in earthen jars, our ingredients transcend their raw forms. Kotohira’s soft water imparts a silken texture, while local Ooseto rice anchors the flavor with clean, unwavering umami.
Deep crimson, pale moon-white, evergreen—each bottle bears a traditional Japanese color, telling a story before it touches your lips. Taste a crystalline coolness, followed by a quiet richness spreading like gentle waves.
“If the brewery is pure, the sake will be pure.” This philosophy is the clarity found when the unnecessary is stripped away—a core truth polished by time.
Descending the steps, you may look back. Back to where the wind changed, and where that serenity now remains with you.
