“Gokujo Tsutsumi” (40% ABV) is a single-cask shochu from Tsutsumi Shuzo in Kumamoto, aged over a decade in white-oak sherry casks. It pours a deep amber and releases rich aromas of vanilla, almond, and dried fruits such as apricot and raisin. On the palate, gentle rice sweetness and firm oak tannins meld harmoniously, with a subtle spice note adding complexity. The long finish reveals warm woody depth, best enjoyed neat or on the rocks to fully appreciate its layered character.  TWSC 2024 Gold.
