The arrival on the Thai market of a new Burgundy wine of great and beautiful quality, which is moreover produced with cultural methods that are deeply respectful of the environment, of the health of the soils that have the kindness to carry their harvest, and of the health of those who, one day, will bring their wines to their lips, is always an event.
We all know it, the production of Burgundy wines is limited and the demand is huge. Inversely proportional to the supply.
With a vineyard of less than 2 hectares (1.81 hectares exactly), La Romanée Conti only produces 6000 bottles and the whole world wants to drink it.
Sometimes it takes years to get a small allocation. And some domains no longer take any clients.
So, yes, the arrival of a new Burgundy in Thailand, under the aegis of the Château de Garnerot, is an event in itself.
Portrait of two women

L’une est Italienne, l’autre Française. Two creators who combine elegance and expertise, humility and determination in their work.
Here is what they say about themselves.
“Respect for Nature, the Environment and People is the pillar of our project.
We seek to reveal the personality of each of our wines, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, so that an Aligoté as well as a Burgundy or a Mercurey 1er Cru expresses all its personality.
The notion of social responsibility is essential for us and guides the management of the estate, both in the vineyards and in the choice of our service providers and suppliers.
We thus committed ourselves from the start to the organic approach, with a biodynamic approach on certain plots, in order to deeply reconnect plants to their soils and elements and promote biodiversity.
That’s what is clearly said.
And the domain itself?
It extends over 6 hectares on plots mainly located in Côtes de Nuits and Côtes Chalonnaise, two terroirs known all over the world, an impressive mosaic of “climats” (“plots” in Burgundy) that offer a diversity that they strive to reflect through their wines.

« Là, tout n’est qu’ordre et beauté,
Luxe, calme et volupté. »
“There, everything is only order and beauty,
Luxury, calm and voluptuousness. »
Charles Baudelaire, “L’invitation au voyage”, in “Les fleurs du mal – Spleen et Idéal”, Paris, 1857.
Their first vintages were born in 2018.
For white wines, Mercurey, Bouzeron and Côtes Chalonnaise.
For red wines, Mercurey, Mercurey 1er Cru, Clos Côte d’Or, Beaune 1er Cru and Côtes Chalonnaise. And a Pommard, as part of our wine trading business.
And finally, two Crémant.
The recognition was not long in coming.
We are delighted to be able to offer them to you in the second half of September.
