Toyama, Fumigiku Brewery

Established in 1916, Fumigiku Shuzo is a sake brewery in Toyama City that has been producing high quality sake for over 100 years with the philosophy that all sake should be made in the Daiginjo style of production. Using natural water from the Joganji River, selected as one of the 100 best waters in Japan, we take the time and effort to combine traditional techniques with innovative ideas.

It has been awarded many prizes in international competitions, and “Haneya Junmai-ginjo Kirabi,” made with local Toyama sake rice “Gohyakumangoku,” has been highly acclaimed around the world. They also put a lot of effort into quality control, such as bottle-enclosure storage and refrigeration of all products, and are well-loved both domestically and internationally under the Haneya brand name.
